Your mission
Shape the future of real-world LiDAR applications at a leading high-tech company in Munich.
At Blickfeld, we develop our own innovative LiDAR technology based on a frictionless MEMS mirror. Our sensors create 3D data of the environment in high resolution. These 3D point clouds contain detailed information about the exact size, position and speed of objects which allows us to analyze the shape and movement of people, vehicles and other objects. Blickfeld LiDAR sensors excel in a wide variety of applications, e.g. security, volume measurement and traffic management, and smart cities.
As Operations Manager (m/f/d) at our Munich-based start-up, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational execution across Production and Procurement. You will lead our Munich-based manufacturing team and manage our procurement activities, while closely collaborating with our global manufacturing partners and logistics providers. You will also work in close alignment with our parent company Senstar to ensure seamless integration across the broader group.
In this role, you combine a hands-on mentality with strong organizational skills. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, taking ownership of your area, and continuously improving the processes that keep our LiDAR sensors flowing from component to customer — reliably and at high quality.
Your tasks
Manufacturing Team Leadership: You lead and develop our Munich-based production team, ensuring efficient, high-quality manufacturing of our LiDAR sensors in line with delivery commitments and cost targets
Procurement Team Leadership: You lead and develop the procurement team, overseeing the sourcing, negotiation, and on-time supply of components from our international supplier network
Contract Manufacturing: You manage our global network of contract manufacturers and production partners, including qualification, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
Sourcing: You manage our sourcing network, including supplier qualification, contract negotiations, and long-term supply security for critical optomechanical and electronic components
Logistics Coordination: You coordinate global logistics and shipping operations in collaboration with our logistics partners, ensuring reliable and cost-efficient delivery to customers and distribution partners worldwide
Warehouse Management: You support worldwide inventory and warehouse management, helping to optimize stock levels, reduce lead times, and ensure product availability across all regions
Cross-functional Collaboration: You collaborate with key internal functions including R&D, Quality, Industrialization, Sales, and Finance to support product development and operational ramp-up
Group Interface: You work closely with our parent company Senstar — aligning processes, coordinating on shared topics, and contributing to group-wide operational excellence
Escalation Management: You act as the escalation point for supply chain, quality, or logistics issues, and drive appropriate countermeasures with speed and clarity
Process Optimization: You continuously improve processes across Production and Procurement — building reliable, scalable structures for a fast-growing technology company
Risk Management: You monitor relevant procurement and logistics markets and proactively flag and address risks to secure operational requirements
Your profile
Operations Experience: You can demonstrate approximately 3–5 years of experience in operations, production, or supply chain management, ideally in a hardware technology company
Team Leadership: You have first experience leading a team — you are able to guide, motivate and develop people in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Functional Breadth: You have hands-on experience across at least two operational disciplines — procurement, production, supply chain, and/or logistics
Contract Manufacturing: You have experience working with contract manufacturers or global production partners, including quality assurance and delivery management
Technical Domain Knowledge: You bring familiarity with optomechanical components, semiconductors, and/or complex electronic assemblies
Academic Background: You hold a successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering, economics, or a comparable field with a strong technical focus
Language Skills: You are business fluent in both German and English (written and spoken) — our Munich team works in German and English, our global environment in English
Business Travel: You are willing to travel to Asia approximately twice a year
